Privacy Policy

Last updated: 8 June 2026

Xcessible ("we", "us") is a macOS application that analyzes your SwiftUI source code locally on your device. We built it to be private by default: your code never leaves your Mac, and we do not embed advertising or behavioral-tracking SDKs. The only third-party SDK we bundle is RevenueCat, which powers subscriptions and gives us aggregate subscription analytics — described in detail below. This policy explains the limited data that is processed when you use the app and purchase a subscription.

Your source code

The code you scan is read and analyzed entirely on your Mac. It is never uploaded, transmitted, or stored on our servers — we never see it. Scan results, fixes, and exported reports stay on your device unless you choose to share them.

Data we collect directly

Xcessible does not require an account, contains no advertising or behavioral-tracking SDKs, and sends us no scan data, source code, or general usage telemetry. The only data that leaves your device is the subscription-related information described below, which is processed by Apple and RevenueCat so that we can sell and manage Pro subscriptions — and which, through RevenueCat, gives us aggregate subscription analytics.

Purchases & subscriptions

Xcessible Pro is sold as an auto-renewing subscription. Two third parties process data when you buy, restore, or manage a subscription:

  • Apple (App Store). Your payment is handled entirely by Apple. We never receive or store your name, payment card, or Apple ID. Apple's handling of your data is governed by the Apple Privacy Policy.
  • RevenueCat. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription entitlements and to give us aggregate subscription analytics (for example, active subscriptions, trial conversions, and churn). When you purchase or restore, the RevenueCat SDK processes a randomly generated app user identifier, your purchase and subscription status (the App Store receipt), and basic technical metadata such as device model, operating system version, app version, language, and country/region (derived in part from your IP address). This data is not linked to your name or contact details and is used only to deliver and measure the subscription service. RevenueCat acts as our data processor; see the RevenueCat Privacy Policy.

We use this subscription data solely to (a) unlock the features you paid for, (b) restore purchases across your devices, and (c) understand subscription performance in aggregate. We do not sell it or use it for advertising.

Legal basis & retention

Where the GDPR applies, our legal basis for processing subscription data is the performance of our contract with you (providing the subscription) and our legitimate interest in operating and improving the service. Subscription records are retained by Apple and RevenueCat for as long as your subscription is active and as required for tax and accounting purposes, after which they are deleted or anonymized in line with those providers' policies.

International transfers

RevenueCat and Apple are based in the United States, so the limited subscription data described above may be processed there. These providers offer the safeguards required for such transfers (including the relevant standard contractual clauses).

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete data relating to you, or to object to its processing. Because we identify subscribers only by an anonymous identifier, please contact us at the address below and we will work with you (and, where needed, Apple or RevenueCat) to honor your request.

Children

Xcessible is a developer tool intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, note the change in the app or on this site.
